Bed Size Calculator: Compare Twin, Queen, King & More

Compare standard bed sizes in inches and centimetres, and check whether a bed fits your room. Enter your room size, choose a bed size, and the calculator tells you the dimensions and the space left beside the bed.

How this calculator works

Bed dimensions are the standard sizes used in the US. Twin is 38 by 75 inches (97 by 191 cm). Twin XL is 38 by 80 inches (97 by 203 cm). Full is 54 by 75 inches (137 by 191 cm). Queen is 60 by 80 inches (152 by 203 cm). King is 76 by 80 inches (193 by 203 cm). California King is 72 by 84 inches (183 by 213 cm). Space beside the bed is the room width minus the bed width, divided by two, and space at the foot is the room length minus the bed length. Allow at least 24 inches beside the bed and 36 inches at the foot.
